Types of Security Screening


Travelers can access all gates from any checkpoint. Checkpoints at SEA Airport feature general, premium, CLEAR, SEA Spot SaverTSA PreCheck, and ADA-friendly screening. All checkpoints are ADA accessible; for additional assistance please contact TSA Cares 72 hours prior to your flight.

All security checkpoints lead to all gates.

TSA Checkpoint Hours of Operations


All TSA Checkpoint hours and screening types are approximate and subject to change on operational need, please see the in-terminal digital signage for available checkpoints and screening types. All checkpoints are open daily, operational hours are subject to change based on TSA operations with closure times evaluated daily. Checkpoint staff will help guide you to the best checkpoint.

Checkpoint 1 - 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Closest to A & S Gates and access to all gates

Checkpoint 2- 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Closest to A & S Gates and access to all gates

  • General Screening
  • U.S. Service Member Lane
  • SEA Spot Saver is available from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Checkpoint 3 - 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Closest to A & S Gates and access to all gates

  • General Screening
  • TSA PreCheck
  • TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is available for participating Airlines only
  • The Premium Lane is available for General and PreCheck screening for participating Airlines only

Checkpoint 4 - Open 24 Hours

Closest to Central Terminal, B & C Gates and access to all gates

  • General Screening
  • The Premium Lane is available for participating Airlines only
  • Family Lane
  • SEA Spot Saver is available from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • SEA Visitor Pass is available from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Checkpoint 5 - 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Closest to C, D, & N Gates and access to all gates

Checkpoint 6 - 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Closest to C, D, & N Gates and access to all gates
